The sculpture 'Manuport' emerged through an ongoing dialogue with the Schelde, where tides, found materials, pollution and the rhythms of the river shape both process and form. Rather than imposing meaning onto the landscape, the sculpture grows from careful observation and an attentiveness to the site's own language, resulting in a work that is inseparable from its environment.
